Creation of indexes on DSO

Hello,

Can some one help me to know what is the use of Indexes folder in DSO  and how can we create? why it is not there in info cube.I know the indexes creation process on info cube. As per my knowledge, we can drag some characteristics into this folder(indexes folder) to create indexes on DSO.
