I am attempting to add a task for a QM Notification for and item after using an action box that sends an attachment of the notification to the purchasing department buyer for the material [EKGRP]. The action box works great in sending the email with the attachment but the follow up function for the action box function does not make the new task at the item level tasks as desired.
Basically the follow up function will capture the line item from a temporary table entry that has the notification, item and buyer of the material and use that to send then call BAPI_QUALNOT_ADD_DATA which is successful (or at least it has no errors). This is followed by BAPI_QUALNOT_SAVE and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT. The follow up function for the action box function finishes with no errors in any of the three BAPIs. It does not make the item level task entry. I have attached a document that shows the parameter settings used. Further, I put the three BAPIs into a simple test program to see what was happening and with debug it appeared that the custom follow up function to be called after the action box was getting invoked. My primary concern is that BAPI_QUALNOT_ADD_DATA does not really work for item level task as the BAPI documentation states. Has anyone used this function for item level tasks addition with success?
