"Data types are not compatible error"

Good afternoon,

    Does anyone know how to resolve an issue with importing data using Excel into Crystal?  We are attempting to import Excel data using the "Create New connection" tab and we are trying to link the user IDs in Excel to the database to extract certain data from the database to add to the user IDs from the Excel sheet.  Is anyone familiar with this issue?
