Hi
I hope somebody out there can help as I've been stuck with this problem for a while now. I have a user who has recently had their laptop upgraded to Windows 7 and can no longer connect to the SQL server database in Crystal reports. The main points are:
- Laptop has been upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 32-bit only.
- User is using Crystal Reports v8.5.3.975. Required to as only version compatible with third party application.
- User can create and successfully connect to the SQL server database in ODBC, but this fails in Crystal reports. Times out, doesn't connect to SQL server.
- Can ping SQL server ok
- Admin user logs in to same machine and can successfully connect via ODBC and Crystal.
- User has been given local admin rights on the laptop, but still cannot connect via Crystal, ok via ODBC.
If anybody has any ideas how to resolve they would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
John
